Weekly Challenge #234: UMT - CanT by Chris Titus, CZT

This week is a UMT challenge that means a challenge when the diva shares a tangle created by one of us. it's "CANT" this day, a tangle created by Chris TITUS, a CZT.

I draw it for the first time. It seemed to me that this tangle was interesting because he allowed numerous variations. I made my first try with a white gel pen on black paper. I added some green o the end.

My second project was using this pattern on a sphere. I tried color and finally I preferred the more sober black and white. I prefer the first sphere and you ?

Thank you very much for your comments.

  1. They all look so different! Great variations on a great Tangle pattern. Rarely like the black tiles, but yours looks good.

  4. All of your pieces are gorgeous. I love the white on the black paper -uncharted territory for me;-) The sphere's are wonderful. I'm leaning toward the black & white one as well. Thank you for your visits to my blog and for leaving such generous and thoughtful comments.

  6. You really went all out on this one! I love them all, but I think I like the one with red the best. It has great energy and passion!

  7. The first one with the turquoise reminds me of a patchwork quilt. You were very brave to try this detailed tangle on a black tile where you have to use implements that are harder to handle than a felt tip micron pen. I agree with you, I prefer the black and white version of your second tile. With the shading that you couldn't do on the one with red, it really comes off the page. Having said that, the one where you used red is also pleasing.

  8. They are all wonderful. I love the shading on the first sphere, yet adding the color changes it in a striking way. Very nice.
