Weekly Challenge #319: "BEad INSPIRED"

This week's challenge on laura's blog is to BEad INSPIRED by Beads of Courage! 

Beads of Courage is an arts in medicine program that helps kids with chronic or life threatening illness tell the story of their medical journey. Each bead represents something different. A different procedure or appointment, or special circumstance. For example, when seeing a doctor or getting a poke instead of getting a sticker when they leave, they are given a glassbead for each thing. (blue for doctor, black for poke... some other beads are yellow=night in the hospital, pink=respiratory support, magenta=trip to emergent care, teal=tube insertion or removal, rainbow=therapy; physical, speech, occupational, respiratory) and every child's string is different and unique to their story.

All these beads are for Artoo and all children with this disease !

Weekly Challenge #315: "Tangle Study = Molygon"

This week on Diva's website it's proposed to study The tangle "Molygon". It's an official tangle. You can see the steps out illustrated by Maria THOMAS here.

I'm agree with Laura it's a very interesting pattern. I colored it in black to bring out the white areas in negatives.

Then i wanted to add shadows to bring a 3D effect but I find that on this tile the magic of the shade does not work.

Weekly Challenge #314: "UMT: Scallamps - by Sarah Uram CZT"

For those of you who are new, the first Monday of every month is a Use My Tangle Challenge, where the challenge of the week is to use a tangle created by one of us!

This month's UMT is Scallamps by Sarah Uram and you can see the step outs here.

It's every time tricky for me to choose the tangles for the background. But without a background I found my tile too empty. 

I add some shine too. What do you think about?

Weekly Challenge #309: "New Official Tangle: Noom"

This week for the DIVA's Challenge we have to use a new official tangle named "NOOM". I tried this new pattern with HOLLIBAUGH.

This first tile seemed empty so i added 'Perfs' not to hide some mistake But it's a tangle that allows to add shadows and depth contrary to a black background. I left  white areas to breathe.

Weekly Challenge #306: UMT Amphora by ZenLilyMoon

This week is a UMT Challenge that means "Use My Tangle !". The first Monday of every month the challenge of the week is to use a tangle created by one of us!

This month is the tangle "Amphora" proposed by ZenLilyMoon. You can see the step outs on her blog.

Initially my tile was too busy so i use the magic "Perfs" tangle To make disappear parts of my drawing. It seems to me that it is better!

Weekly Challenge #305: "DuoTangle Marasu vs Molygon"

This week's challenge is a Duotangle!!
If you're new here, a Duotangle is the term Laura coined on her blog to refer to a tile or piece using only two specific tangles. The two tangles proposed this week are:

Molygon and Marusa.

Marusa is an offocial tangle. You can see the step outs here.

I wanted to organize several Marusa as the Tangle "spring". But the result is very complex!

Weekly Challenge #304: "New Official Tangle Waybop"

This week we have to use an official new tangle "Waybop". You can see the step outs HERE.

I trained for a while with this tangle that is not very easy. But then when I began my tile i made a mistake. Since there is no mistake in Zentangle, I accepted this 'tangleation' and I completed my drawing with "Ruutz" a tangle created by Eni Oken .

Weekly Challenge #302: "UMT Hamadox by Diana Schreur CZT"

this week as the first Monday of every month is a Use My Tangle (UMT) it means that we have to use a tangle proposed by one of us. This month's UMT is Hamadox by Diana Schruer, and you can see the step outs here. It's a beautiful mix between Hamail of Tina Akua Hunziker and Rick and Maria's Paradox.

At first it was not easy for me to use Hamadox. Finally i used Hamadox starting from a triangle. I added a touch of aquafleur, shadows and highlights. I am currently interested by shading and 3D effects.

Once the drawing is finished, it becomes difficult to find the starting Hamadox tangle.

Weekly Challenge #300

Three Hundred weeks ago Laura began her Zentangle Challenge after the birth of Artoo his second child with Moebius Syndrome.
This week is Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day. Laura proposes us to use the Moebius Syndrome Foundation's logo as our string.

Copying this logo was difficult for me. I drew a ribbon with the tangle "Lolly Wimple" and many beads of courage for Artoo.

Weekly Challenge #299: "New Official Tangle: Drawings"

This week Laura proposes for the challenge a new tangle named "Drawings". It's is an interesting tangle !

I discovered it and tried it on december. But i draw a new tile for this week where i train me in shading !

Laura told us that in Canada where she lives, it was very cold. In France also it is a very cold period even if the temperatures are not comparable !

Weekly Challenge #298: "UMT - Orbs-la-Dee by Anneke van Dam

Happy new year ! I hope this  period of festivities was very pleasant for you. I took advantage of my holidays to tangle a lot and train in the shade.

This week as the first monday of every month it's a UMT challenge that means we have to use a tangle created by one of us. This time it's Orbs-la-Dee, a tangle proposed by Anneke Van DAM. you can see the step outs here.

It's a very beautiful tangle and I had a lot of fun discovering it.

The top left Tangle is a first attempt where I was wrong. But since there is no mistake in Zentangle art it became a new pattern!
